Description

Sept 2009: Wow! What a great day! I was really lucky. A good Samaritan stopped and explained to me how to use the metro and getting off at the station, I found some skaters who showed me how to get to the skatepark. When I got there, the park was full of skaters. Proof that a skatepark can be measured by it's use. Fortunately for me, most skaters prefer street skating. We were only 3 or 4 in the big bowl. There's a small street section with ledges, a rail, bank and quarter-pipe but the 2 bowls steal the show. there's a small bowl of about 5 feet and a much bigger one of about 12 feet. The small one is fun but it's the bigger one that is the main attraction. It starts off at about 5 feet and drops into a 12 foot bowl with vert. The big one is scary looking but it's so smooth and fast that even the most unexperienced and scared will eventually grind the coping. Every skater should get to skate something like that at least once in his life.

Address

Located on the banks of the "Fasanerie see" on the "Feldmochinger strafe" in the north of Munich. I took the metro to get there, it's about 20 minutes form downtown. Take the S1 and get off at "Fasanerie". When you get off, turn right and skate for about 1 km. Note: "right next to the station is a grocery store. It's the only one I saw near the park... Get some fluids." While skating, you will notice a park. Keep skating till you see the skatepark on your right.

Rules Unsupervised.
Information It's not an official website but it gives some info and more pics: www.skateanddestroy.de
Notes I did not notice if there was lights. Beware! The metro system does work like ours. You have to pay depending on the zone you are going to. Plus, you have to make sure that you board the right train. Contrary to us, the trains do not go to the same destinations on the same line.
